Here are some common questions about our food tours.

Is the food included in the price of the tour?

No. You will pay for each of your food purchases as you go. This puts you in complete control when it comes to what you choose to order, portion sizes, and food costs. If you follow our recommendations, you can expect to spend about $40 per person on food and drink.

Do I need roaming to access the tour?

No. The entire tour can be downloaded to your device as a PDF. Once you’ve downloaded it, you can view it without an internet connection. There’s also an option to navigate using Google Maps while connected to the internet, using the included custom tour map.

Will the tour work on any mobile device?

The tour is a downloadable PDF file that can be viewed on any device. Android or Apple. Phone or tablet. (It’s not a mobile app.) You can choose the 4:3 standard PDF (best for tablets) or the 16:9 landscape (best for phones). Both versions are included with your purchase.

How many places does the tour stop?

Each tour takes you to 10 different stops. The majority of stops include at least one recommended tasting. Since most tours take place in a city’s historic center, it’s easy to combine your bite-seeing with your site-seeing.

Do I have to take the tour at a specific day or time?

No. The tours are available every day except public holidays. They’re also available any time of day during normal business hours.

 

How many people can take the tour together?

It’s up to you. The tour works well for one, two, or more. Most of the tastings are meant to be enjoyed standing so there’s no need to worry about finding a table. Many of the places you’ll be stopping at are quite small and, depending on the time of year, may be crowded. Expect to queue during busy times, and if you’re doing the tour as a family or group, it’s possible you may have to take turns going inside to order.
