Life is Beautiful
Roberto Benigni, Nicoletta Braschi
One part gin, one part Vermouth Rosso, and one part Campari, garnished with orange peel.
Start by arranging a few different types of cheeses on a smaller board. To keep with the Italian theme, choose pecorino and provolone, then add mortadella and prosciutto, marinated olives, pine nuts, melon, and fruit crisps.
Audrey Hepburn, Gregory Peck
Pour 2 oz fresh peach puree into a chilled champagne flute, add 4 oz Prosecco.
Start with Italian cheeses like Parmigiano-Reggiano, taleggio, and buffalo mozzarella. Add salami, capicola, and bresaola. Round it out with roasted red peppers, grapes, honey, sliced ciabatta, and grissini.
Joaquin Phoenix, Russell Crowe
2 oz Prosecco, 1 1/4 oz Aperol, a splash of soda water. Serve over ice and garnish with an orange slice.
When planning for a larger group, portion size is key. Usually three ounces of meat and cheese and three pieces of bread or crackers is enough. But, if this is going to be served as a meal, five ounces of each per person will work best.
